I listened to this song so much my tape broke. I could've had it on CD but Moms said I didn't need a CD player.

Negative Stress

With everything that is going on today and yesterday and the day before, I know that it's easy for people to start stressing out and think crazy things. THINGS WILL GET BETTER!!! This is a song that keeps me going...

When Hip-Hop meant something...

The Roots. The most dynamic Hip-Hop group to this day. They are the true essence of Hip-Hop and they are the core that continues to keep it together. If there was a Hip-Hop manual then the lyrics to "What They Do" shop be the first chapter.

Here is a live version of the song. I've been listening to The Roots for a long time and I have never heard this song live.

Here is the actual video.

When Hip-Hop meant something...

Several posts ago I put up the Break a Dawn video by De la Soul. If you are new to Hip-Hop and think its all about Lil Wayne and making in rain, that's not what it's all about. That stuff is good to get drunk to or if you're at the strip club or if you're trying to show how hard you are, but it's not the essence of what Hip-Hop is. De La Soul is TRUE Hip-Hop; even though they are a bit old school they are still relevant, and I still find myself bumpin this song every now and then...

I wish my high school was as live as that one.

This one is classic too...

One more...
