When the Westcoast was Fun!
The Cronic was the first album that I remembered buying or begging my Dad to by it for me. Of course my Mom found out and throw it away, but I took it out of the trash and tried to hide it from her. Somehow she would always find it and I was always sneaking it out of the trash. She finally broke it and that was the end of The Cronic for me.
Alot of people always ask me what Epidemy means, and my answer to them always is “Epidemy is an epidemic”. Then they say to me, “An epidemic of what?” And that question always seems to catch me off guard. When I created Epidemy at first I wanted people to thing epitome, but the word did not look visually appealing nor did I want people to think I was arrogant. Epidemy looked more appealing visually and I thought the meaning of that word was more of what I wanted to do. But an epidemic of what is what I have been stuck on. I don’t want people to think of a bad epidemic like AIDS or cancer of the Black Plague, I want Epidemy to mean: new ideas, focusing more on being a leader and not being led.
I want to start an epidemic that will break down all the norms of what everyone thinks are popular, and help people understand that they do have their own voice.
